You wish you could go to nail salons regularly but sometimes it is not possible. When you cannot go, you have one option – manicure at home. Fortunately, you can get a good manicure at home but it takes a lot of practice and skills.

With this, you need essential but easy steps for a DIY manicure at home. The good news is you do this for a fraction of the cost. So, here are the steps:

Step 1

The first step is to gather tools. Keep in mind that with the right Accesorios manicura lined up, you will definitely have a beautiful manicure. You will need a nail polish remover, cotton, nail clippers, nail buffer, cuticle pusher, nipper, cuticle remover, hand/nail moisturizer, base coat, nail polish, and clear topcoat.

Step 2

After securing the tools, you can immediately start. You have to remove previously applied nail polish using a nail polish remover. When it comes to picking the right remover, you should remember that non-acetone removers are gentler compared to acetone-based.

Step 3

You can now shape the nails by clipping it. Do not forget to gently file them after. The ideal shapes are rounded and square-edge but since it is your nail, you can be as creative as you want. When filing, avoid using metal files because it can lead to splintering. The best nail file is an emery board or crystal nail file.

Step 4

The most relaxing part of a manicure season is soaking. You should put your hands in a bowl of warm water then add a little shampoo to the water. Limit the soaking to three minutes or less.

Step 5

When you cut away the thickened skin around the nail, you have to apply a bit of cuticle remover. Cuticle remover is a powerful thing so you should not let it sit on the cuticle area for a long time.

Step 6

The next step is to remove the excess cuticle using the cuticle pusher. You need to gently push the cuticle back but do not push it too far because it can damage the growth of the nail or fray the cuticle.

Step 7

Once the cuticle is pushed away from the nail, you need to moisturize it. To moisturize, you should massage the oil into the cuticles and all over the hands. This is done to hydrate as well as replenish the skin.

Step 8

Make sure to swab the nail using cotton with nail polish remover to get rid of the moisturizing ingredients. Remember that if there are lingering ingredients, it will prevent proper adhesion of the nail polish. The key here is to ensure that the nail has nothing oily left on it.

Step 9

Perhaps the most exciting part is painting the nails in layers. If you have weak nails, you should use a base coat of nail polish, which can protect nails from staining and chipping. After, you can apply the colored polish in layers. Do not forget to allow every layer to dry between coats.

Ideally, it should be two coats of color polish then a top coat to add gloss. If you are new, you can choose a lighter shade as it can mask any mistakes. More importantly, you should take a few minutes every day to touch up your manicure.
